Beehive Bettie Member Guidelines
Beehive Betties Member Agreement
Betties hold themselves to a high standard. These are our detailed policies regarding members or “Betties” within our organization. These policies cover the definition of a ‘Bettie’.
Purpose Of Policies
These policies are written to provide overall guidance and direction to members engaged in volunteer and management efforts. These policies do not constitute, either implicitly or explicitly, a binding contractual or personnel agreement. Our agency reserves the exclusive right to change any of these policies at any time and to expect adherence to the changed policy. Changes to or exceptions from these policies may only be granted by the Beehive Bettie’s founder (The Queen Bee aka Group President) or designated representative, and must be obtained in advance and in writing. Areas not specifically covered by these policies shall be determined by the Beehive Bettie’s founder or designated representative.
Definition of a Bettie
A "Bettie" is anyone who, without compensation or expectation of compensation beyond reimbursement, performs a task at the direction of and on behalf of the organization. A "Bettie" must be officially accepted and enrolled by the agency prior to performance of the task. A “Bettie” will accept all other group members and help to uplift and empower one another, she will offer ideas and suggestions to the group.
Future Betties Under the Age of 18
Due to the nature of this organization, we cannot accept any member under the age of 18, however, if you apply while you’re underage we will keep your application for future opportunities.
Representing Beehive Betties
Members are asked not to contact organizations (or individuals) on behalf of Beehive Betties unless they are given express written directions to do so by the founder or designated representative. Prior to any action or statement that might significantly affect or obligate the organization, members should seek prior consultation and approval from appropriate staff. These actions may include, but are not limited to, public statements to the press, coalition or lobbying efforts with other organizations, or any agreements involving contractual or other financial obligations. Members are authorized to act as representatives of the organization as specifically indicated and only to the extent of such written specifications.

Contacting Other Members
One of our Group Goals is to empower women and encourage healthy relationships amongst women, so of course we understand you will need to contact other members with regard to their activities with Beehive Betties. We expect all such communications among volunteers to follow general etiquette guidelines. We encourage members to use common sense when communicating with other members -- or anyone. We suggest you're following this rule: don't reveal anything about yourself online to someone that you would not feel comfortable revealing to a stranger you met on the street.
Inappropriate Communications
If at any point you receive any text, phone call, e-mail or ‘face to face’ verbal communication that you feel is inappropriate, and you believe you have received it in conjunction with your involvement with Beehive Betties, please tell the President of Beehive Betties with all details about the communication.
Online Safety
The safety of our members is important to us. To that end, Beehive Betties will not release a member’s phone number, age or other personal information to anyone outside of our organization without that member's written permission to do so. Please don't reveal anything about yourself online to someone that you would not feel comfortable revealing to a stranger you met on the street.
